| STEM Club Grades 3-5 Year One - Thursdays |
|
|
Sold Out | |
| STEAM Club ages 5/6 |
| STEAM Club (Ages 5–6) This class is all about giving kids the space to be creative, independent, and a little messy. We keep hands busy for 40 minutes by testing out ideas with LEGO® Early Simple Machines and crafting with everyday maker supplies. It’s a great way to practice fine motor skills and creative thinking, while showing kids how they can use ordinary materials to make extraordinary things. We hope to spark ideas they can bring back to your own recycling bin at home! To give them room to really dive in, some weeks are purely experiential, some projects take two classes to finish, and other times they’ll have a creation to bring home.

| Junior Engineers: Robotics & The Power Grid Journey (Grades 2–4) |
| Introduce your child to the world of engineering with LabSpace’s new 10-week STEM Club focused on the physics of energy. Designed specifically for younger builders, students will kick off the semester with a fun, hands-on introduction to gears using LEGO® Simple Machines kits. This builds a friendly, step-by-step foundation in how everyday mechanics work before we bridge those concepts into introductory electronics and robotics. Using a dynamic mix of LEGO® FLL Explore SUPERPOWERED kits and intuitive SPIKE™ Essential coding blocks, students will discover how we capture, store, and use power in the real world. With a strict limit of 8 students per session, every child works at their own dedicated workstation—ensuring plenty of individual guidance and a supportive environment where every student can succeed. To help celebrate the science concepts learned in class, students will also build and keep several hands-on engineering projects throughout the semester. Because this is a brand-new, interactive curriculum, our instructors will be actively tailoring the pace and tweaking the projects to match the unique creativity and skill level of the group. Class Max: 8 students Registering more than one child in classes this fall? Please choose invoice when you check out and contact Miss Annette at Annette@LabSpaceRobotics.com. We’ll figure out your siblling discounts and let you know prices.

| Messy Engineering: Gingerbread Houses at LabSpace! |
|
We’ve opened another session on Thursday morning.Join us for a fun, creative, and deliciously chaotic holiday tradition! At LabSpace, we always remind our makers: we don’t eat in the lab, which means this workshop is 100% about the fun of building, designing, and testing your architectural limits. This isn’t about creating a Pinterest-perfect showpiece—it’s process-art and messy structural engineering at its finest! Kids will use graham crackers as building blocks, royal icing as “mortar,” and a mountain of candies and cereals to decorate their one-of-a-kind holiday creations. They get all the hands-on building fun, and you get the finished masterpiece without the sticky kitchen clean-up! Note for Families: *This is a family-led, team-building activity! LabSpace staff will be floating around to keep supplies stocked, offer quick structural tips, and keep things tidy, but parents and kids will work together at their own pace to design and build. * Because royal icing engineering gets sticky and roof collapses are part of the learning process, adults act as hands-on team captains! Be sure to take a quick photo of your creation in the lab before it makes the trek home!
🍬 Help Us Stock the Candy Lab!Have leftover Halloween candy or extra holiday sweets in your cupboard? Drop them off at LabSpace before the event to help fuel our young engineers’ designs! We’d love to put your stale graham crackers into the mix too! You can bring them in during any of our classes during the semester. |

| Build and Program a Robot to Keep! |
| Build and Program a Robot to Keep! We’re kicking off January with one of our favorite hands-on projects at LabSpace-building and programming a robot you can keep!
In this 3-week series, kids will build their own Cutebot smart car from scratch and learn how to bring it to life using Microsoft MakeCode. We’ll cover the basics of block coding while exploring how sensors work—teaching our robots to navigate rooms, follow lines, flash custom LED lights, and avoid obstacles.
Because learning doesn’t stop when class ends, every student takes home their complete setup (the Cutebot, micro:bit board, and battery pack) so they can keep coding and experimenting with family at home.
Class Details:
Tuition: $110 (covers all 3 sessions + the full robot kit to keep)
Wednesdays (Jan 6 – Jan 20): 10:00 AM or 5:30 PM
Saturdays (Jan 9 – Jan 23): 10:00 AM
Whether your child is completely new to coding or ready for their next project, we’d love to have them at the table with us. We keep our group sizes small so everyone gets plenty of support and space to create.
