Expired Brownie Coding for Good Badge 3

  •  04/24/2021
     10:00 am CDT - 10:45 am CDT

Tuition: $6

We’ll be taking a look at animation and how pictures can tell a story. We’ll see how an artist creates an animated film and then try our hand at storyboarding a simple story.
After sketching our story, we’ll bring it to life by coding it in Scratch, Jr, the program we’ve been using in our Badge 1 and 2 classes. We’ll have a basic outline for the story, but students will make it their own.
Scratch, Jr is a fun language available free online and was developed for children ages 4-7. You can read more about it here: https://www.scratchjr.org/
Before we meet, download Scratch, Jr to a tablet, iPad or phone. It would be good to have 1 device for Zoom and one for Scratch, Jr. That way, you’ll be able to see the teacher’s screen and follow along.
Badges 1 and 2 should be completed before 3. Badge is not included.
