Expired Mentor Training 1A-ages 13+

LabSpace wouldn’t be the same without it’s mentors!  If you’d like the opportunity to mentor at LabSpace, this is the class for you!  You’ll be able to share the skills you’ve learned with kids who are just getting started.

In this Mentor Training, we’ll be focusing on the Lego Spike Essentials robotics sets, since these are new to LabSpace.  We’ll practice building with the sets and addressing common computer issues that arise.  In addition to technical skills, we’ll spend time on how to work with children: Good word choices, basic classroom issues, and safety issues.  

If you have an interest, go ahead and register.  There is no charge for the class, but there is a limited class size and a teacher must approve your registration.  The Mentorship class is important for being able to volunteer during the summer so you know you have the skills necessary, but completing it does not guarantee you a summer volunteer position.
