Expired Homeschool Tech Camp

Join us for lots of tech learning!  We’ll meet April 11 and 12.  Grades 1-2 will meet from 10-12 and Grades 3-6 will meet from 10:00-2:30 with a lunch break from 12:00-12:30.

Grades 1 and 2: You’ll meet from 10:00-12:00 and we’ll divide our time between building and programming with Lego Spike robots and building hands-on engineering projects that you can take home.  We’ll be working on small motor skills, programming, measuring, and more in this camp.  Tuition is $45.  This is a beginning level class.

Grades 3-6: (10:00-2:30) You’ll start your morning off with building and programming Lego Mindstorms robots.  Each student will have a robotics set and computer to work with during camp. After lunch, we’ll work on a hands-on engineering project that you will be able to take home and then, we’ll spend our last hour learning about 3-D design and printing using TinkerCAD.  You will be able to design at least 1 project to be printed.  Tuition: $85. This is a beginner level class.

A couple of notes:

• Robots have to stay at LabSpace, but you are welcome to take pictures and video of your creations.
• Engineering projects are yours to keep.
• Lunch-please bring a sack lunch. We would like to keep our lunch break to 30 minutes.  If you’d like to pick up somethings and bring it back, that is fine.
• Parents are welcome to stay or drop off as long as their child is comfortable.  Please note that this camp starts before the mall opens.  We do have to stay inside LabSpace until 11, after that you’d be welcome to spend time in the mall at the playground or shopping.
