Upcoming Homeschool STEM Club – Grades one and two

STEM Club: Grades 1 & 2 (4-week session)

This 4-week program introduces students in grades 1 and 2 to the fundamentals of programming through Lego SPIKE Essentials robotic sets. Students will use icon-based programming, which does not require reading, to build and program robots to complete various challenges.

In addition to programming and building concepts, we’ll be practicing skills like following directions, communicating ideas, and basic computer skills like using a mouse. This is a beginning class and no previous experience  is required.  Reading is not required for this workshop.

Each student will have their own robotics set and computer to use during class.  Parents are welcome to stay and participate during class if they choose. This class does begin before the mall is open, so if parents are staying, you will have to stay inside LabSpace until the mall opens at 11.
