Expired Homeschool STEM Club Grades 2-4

We’ll meet Thursdays from 1:45-3:00 from Nov 3 through Dec 1.  There will be no class on Nov 24.

We’ll begin each session with about 20 minutes of Scratch, Jr programming.  Our goal will be to get the basic programming techniques down so they can continue creating at home.  From programming, we’ll move into some hands-on build projects.  This month, I plan to focus on projects that involve center of gravity and circuits.

For the Scratch, Jr portion of class, students may bring a phone or tablet from home to work on, or, they can use one of ours.  Scratch, Jr was developed at Tuft’s University as a robust programming language for young children.  We find it a good introduction to coding techniques.
