Expired Daisy Mech Engineering: Roller Coaster

Join us as we build our own roller coasters for marbles. We’ll get hands-on experience with potential and kinetic energy as we construct our roller coasters. You’ll experiment with materials, do lots of testing and then redesign to make your roller coaster even better.

We’ll plan on meeting for about 45 minutes, but I hope you’ll continue to experiment with other designs after the workshop. Take pictures! We’d love to see what you made.

Materials: Flat piece of cardboard for the base (about 1 foot x 1 foot), construction paper, paper towel and toilet paper tubes, tape (clear), a ruler, scissors, items for decorating and some marbles for testing.
