Sketching Foundations A 4-week drawing series guided by high school artist Miss Lilith

Grades: 3–6 Day/Time: Wednesdays from 6:00–6:50 PM (4-week session) Cost: $24 for the full 4-week series Location: LabSpace Robotics, Jefferson City

Join us on Wednesday evenings this fall for a relaxed, 4-week drawing series guided by high school artist and favorite summer mentor, Miss Lilith! Designed for students in grades 3–6, this affordable studio session offers young artists a supportive, low-pressure space to build fundamental drawing skills alongside a skilled teen mentor.

Each 50-minute session is structured to maximize hands-on drawing time. Miss Lilith will demonstrate a foundational technique each week, and students will immediately apply the concept to a focused project during studio time.

Weekly Skill Focus:

• Line Weight & Control: Learning how line thickness creates depth and form
• Values & Shading: Understanding light sources, contrast, and smooth blending
• Textures: Rendering realistic surfaces like wood, fur, and metal
• Perspective Basics: Simple rules to make 2D drawings pop off the page

This studio is a fantastic opportunity for students to sharpen their visual eye, gain creative confidence, and practice art in a encouraging environment with peers. Class size is kept small to ensure everyone gets dedicated table space and positive feedback.
