Upcoming STEAM Club ages 5/6

STEAM Club (Ages 5–6) This class is all about giving kids the space to be creative, independent, and a little messy. We keep hands busy for 40 minutes by testing out ideas with LEGO® Early Simple Machines and crafting with everyday maker supplies. It’s a great way to practice fine motor skills and creative thinking, while showing kids how they can use ordinary materials to make extraordinary things. We hope to spark ideas they can bring back to your own recycling bin at home! To give them room to really dive in, some weeks are purely experiential, some projects take two classes to finish, and other times they’ll have a creation to bring home.

• Looking Ahead: This fall focuses on foundational building and making; we will introduce LEGO® Spike Essentials robotics and coding in the second semester.

• Returning Families: Because we will be reusing some of our favorite projects from last year, we recommend registering your returning student for STEM Club Grades 1/2 so they can tackle brand-new challenges!
