Upcoming Robo Challenge: Design, Build, Battle

Build your own Sumo bot using Lego ! Over four 90-minute sessions, you’ll learn the basics of robot design, construction, and programming. We’ll cover everything from building a sturdy chassis to using sensors and remote control to maneuver your robot in the Sumo ring. The workshop features hands-on building activities, programming challenges, and plenty of opportunities for friendly Sumo battles. No prior robotics experience is needed – just a willingness to learn and create!

 

Will be meeting Jun 16-19 from 1:00-2:20 Monday-Thursday.  If you’d like to enroll in the Game Design Class that will start right after this class, tuition for both is $120.  If you’d just like the Robo Challenge, the cost is $80.

The pace of this workshop will be geared to 10-14 year olds.  

Ever dreamed of creating your own video game?  Learn how to use Clickteam Fusion, a powerful 2D game engine. We’ll build different games together, exploring cool features like collisions, scoring, and enemies. You’ll personalize your game with unique art, win conditions, and gameplay, making it truly your own!

Tech Camp is back with two unique workshops designed to spark your curiosity and build valuable tech skills. Whether you’re interested in robotics and game design, or 3D modeling and coding, we’ve got a camp for you! Join us for a week of hands-on learning and creative exploration.

 

July 7-10 Monday-Thursday 1:00-4:00  Tuition: $120 (Robotics and Game Design Focus)

Join us at Tech Camp for a week of hands-on fun! If you’re heading into grades 5-8 and love to build and create, this is the place for you. We’ll be diving into Lego Mindstorms, where you’ll get to build and program your own robots. Plus, we’ll tackle a cool engineering project that you can take home and show off. And if you’ve ever dreamed of making your own video game, we’ll be using ClickTeam Fusion to design and program your very own creation. It’s a week of learning, building, and having a great time with friends. We keep the pace just right for this age group, so you’ll have plenty of time to explore and experiment.

 

July 28-31 Monday-Thursday 1:00-4:00 Tuition: $120 (Robotics, 3D Design, Scratch Programming Focus)

Students entering grades 5-8 will explore the exciting world of digital creation. Design 3D models with TinkerCAD, code interactive projects with Scratch, and build and program Lego Mindstorms robots. We’ll also get a glimpse into MicroBit electronics and see how it can interact with Scratch. Get ready to design, build, code, and explore new possibilities!
