STEM Club: Robotics Adventure (Grades 3-6)

Wednesdays 10:00-10:50  or 5:05-5:55 Jan 15-April 9 (no class March12)

Get ready to explore the exciting world of robots and be a part of something BIG!

What to Expect:

• Scratch Programming: We’ll begin with Scratch, a visual programming language that makes coding fun and easy to learn. Students will use colorful blocks to create animations, games, and interactive stories, building a strong foundation in programming concepts.
• Lego Mindstorms: Next, we’ll gear up for the main event by building and programming real robots using Lego Mindstorms! Students will learn how to control motors, use sensors, and bring their robotic creations to life.
• Two Coding Languages: This club will introduce students to two distinct programming environments. While both use visual elements, the Mindstorms software is specifically designed to control robot hardware and will present unique coding challenges.
• Robot Parade Extravaganza! Our robotics adventure culminates in the highly anticipated annual Robot Parade! This exciting event is open to the entire community and features a parade of robots  each pulling a unique and imaginative float designed and built by the students themselves! Plan to save Sat, April 12th for the parade.  Check in will be between 10:00-11:00 and the parade will start at 1:00.
