Upcoming STEM Club Grades 1/2

Our STEM Club for Grades 1/2 combines fun, hands-on projects with important skill-building. Get ready to explore science and engineering while practicing measuring, following directions, and persistence in a playful learning environment.

Session 1: Cardboard Creations

Mondays, Jan 13-Feb 3 10:40-11:30  or Wed, Jan 15-Feb 5 4:00-4:50 Admit 1: $40   Admit 2: $60

This session of STEM Club focuses on developing valuable STEM skills through exciting cardboard construction projects. Practice measuring, cutting, and assembling as you create amazing structures, including 3-D dinosaurs, mesmerizing kaleidoscopes, and more! Each week brings a new challenge, encouraging creativity, problem-solving, and persistence. Get ready to build your skills and your imagination!

Session 2: Programming, Robotics, and a bit of Chemistry

Mondays, Feb 10-April 21 (No class 3/10, 4/21) 10:40-11:30 or Wednesdays 4:00-4:50 (No class 3/12 or 4/23)  Admit 1: $100, Admit 2: $175

This session will have a variety of experiences.  We’ll continue with Lego Spike Robotics and begin experimenting with Scratch, Jr.  Scratch, Jr is a free program to introduce young students to coding.  It is a great way for students to create stories and bring their ideas to life!    We’ll practice sequential thinking skills and continue to use them as we mix up some fun concoctions and create some chemical reactions.
