Have a young artist who would like to work alongside a professional? During Studio Time, artists will create their own artwork while receiving input and guidance from Miss Amy. Students can bring along projects they are already creating or choose a new one. Everyone’s project will be different.
Art choices include painting, drawing, oil pastels, and digital art. Canvas and sketch paper, paint, brushes, pencils, and oil pastels will be available. (You may also bring your own supplies or existing project if you’d like.) If your student would like to create digital art, you will need to provide a tablet or smart phone.
About your teacher:
Miss Amy is an illustrator, painter and muralist and has taught art for 9 years. She does many of her illustrations digitally and loves to create bright, happy and nostalgic art. Aside from illustrating, she loves large scales painting and your can find her murals in restaurants and building throughout mid-Missouri (including a LabSpace). Teaching art classes is one of her favorite ways to share art. She loves to see students’ creativity blossom and often finds inspiration from their enthusiasm. Miss Amy encourages creativity in her classes. She wants children to take the techniques she teaches and use them to bring their ideas to life, so, no two projects will look the same.
