Build a crash test car and create a Crash Test Buddy. Then, engineer a seat and restraints for your Buddy. The goal is to keep him safe in the event of a crash. We’ll use the power of elastic potential energy to send the car flying across the floor!
Ages 5+. Children ages 5-7 will need a hands-on adult helper, ages 8+ can complete this project independently. Adults are welcome to build their own crash test car. We love to see families building together!
Tuition is $10 with a max of $18 per family. You’ll get to take your car and buddy home.
This workshop is open to all, but will satisfy the Girl Scout Brownie Mechanical Engineering Badge 3 requirements.
